| WHY I MOVED wanted fresh, organic produce but didn’t have time to grow a garden myself. | ||
| HOW WE MOVED | ||
| I joined Golden Earthworm Organic Farm, a CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) program in Jamesport that delivers fresh produce to 17 sites through Long Island, as well as several in Queens. | ||
| THE RESULT | ||
| I paid $530 upfront to the farmer and, for 26 weeks, I’ll receive a weekly delivery of various fresh, organic produce that’s been picked less than a day before it arrives. | ||
| FOOD FOR THOUGHT | ||
“I get wonderful, fresh, organic food all season for a reasonable price. In addition, these programs help small local farms stay in business, guarantee them a fair price for their produce, and give them the overhead they need at the start of the growing season.” | ||
